Adam Fischer: My expectation was for this ball to go long down the lane and still have some angle and hitting power. We drilled it with the pin directly underneath the ring finger, cocked to the left with the CG maybe half an inch kicked out from the midgrip. I'm a speed dominant, right handed, high track bowler with a relatively low rev rate.
This ball works really well in most lane conditions I have put it in. I keep the surface polished, which allows me to play up the boards or all over the right side of the lane. On a house shot, this ball is amazing. The ball is very clean through the front portion of the lane and is angular in the back end. What I love most about this ball is how it continues through the back end and blasts the pocket.
The Hard Ball's reaction is very predictable for me and provides consistant results. It allows me to swing the ball out and still make it back to the pocket in some sport shots that we've had in local tournaments. It also performed really well at one particular house that dries up very quickly.
I haven't played with sanding the coverstock, I usually make a ball change. The Hard Ball works great in conjunction with my Mission. If I had to take only one ball to league, this would most likely be it.
